1. Who We Are & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect Personal Data when you access or use Copytrained.

This Privacy Policy works alongside our Terms and Conditions: the Terms govern our contract, this Policy governs your data.

By purchasing or using Copytrained, or by visiting our website, you acknowledge that your Personal Data will be handled as described here.

2. Key Terms

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • we, us, our – the legal entity behind Copytrained: Epoque d.o.o., a Slovenian limited liability company registered at Središka ulica 4, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, registration number 9788883000, VAT identification number SI10382712.
  • Copytrained – all current and future products, services, and offerings we provide under the Copytrained brand, including any updates to any of them. Copytrained is built from two parts: the System and the Brain, defined below.
  • System – the three parts of Copytrained you install and run: the scans, the chat skills, and Copytrained Coach, each defined below.
  • the scans – MarketScan, ProductScan, and VoiceScan, which read the files you supply and write the four that make up your Brain.
  • the chat skills – the guided conversations that take you from your raw thinking to a finished page and launch, each producing one document that carries into the next.
  • Copytrained Coach – our tool for auditing and scoring sales pages.
  • Brain – your Memory Engine data: voice profiles, business context, research, and copy drafts, stored on your own device and in your own account with the AI Model’s provider. This data is yours; the underlying Memory Engine architecture that captures, structures, and recalls it is ours.
  • AI Model – the third-party AI model on which Copytrained’s System and Brain run.
  • Purchase – the offer you buy access to Copytrained through.
  • Coaching Sessions – any live coaching call delivered as part of Copytrained, in whatever format your Purchase includes.
  • Copytrained Hub – the Copytrained space, hosted on a third-party online community platform, through which we deliver the System and other materials, Coaching Sessions, updates, onboarding, and support.
  • Personal Data – any information relating to you, not just identifiers like your name or email. This includes business information you share with us (see Section 3).
  • Service Providers – the third-party companies we directly engage and instruct to process Personal Data on our behalf (see Section 6).

3. Personal Data We Collect

Copytrained involves two categories of data: data we collect about you (see below), and data you import into your Brain (see Section 4).

Where information you share with us isn’t tied to you personally, Section 16 of our Terms and Conditions covers it instead.

This Personal Data includes, depending on how you use Copytrained:

  • Account & Purchase Data – name (or company name), registered address, email address, payment information, and, if you’re purchasing as a VAT-registered business, your VAT number.
  • Posts & Comments – posts and comments you share in the Copytrained Hub.
  • Recordings & Transcripts – recordings and transcripts of the Coaching Sessions you participate in.
  • Business Data – business context, product details, research, pricing, and strategy shared during Coaching Sessions, in the Copytrained Hub, or by email.
  • Testimonials – testimonials, results, or quotes we use from your Coaching Sessions or Copytrained Hub posts. An anonymised quote (with your name, business name, and anything else identifying you removed) may be used without your separate consent; anything that identifies you needs your separate consent (see Section 5).
  • Survey Responses – onboarding and research survey responses, including what you tell us about yourself and your business, such as a description of your business and its revenue range.
  • Website & Marketing Data – website form submissions, email engagement data, and, if you accept the relevant cookies, analytics data and advertising data, such as the pages you visited, button clicks and similar interactions, and a cookie identifier.
  • Purchase Measurement Data – if you buy Copytrained Coach after accepting Statistics or Marketing cookies: the cookie identifiers from your visit, saved when you pay on our checkout page or, where you buy through our payment link, when you click the buy button, and, if you accepted Marketing cookies, your IP address and browser type; and, once your purchase is complete, the purchase amount and currency and, if you accepted Marketing cookies, your checkout email address, first name, last name, and country, each converted into a scrambled code (hashed) before it leaves our server.

Posts & Comments and Business Data you share in a group Coaching Session, Copytrained Hub space, or forum are visible to other members in that setting, not just to us. See Section 16 of our Terms and Conditions for more on this.

We use AI tools, including Anthropic’s Claude, to transcribe and analyze Coaching Session recordings so we can improve the product (see Section 6).

4. What We Don’t Collect

We don’t collect any of the data you put into your Brain: voice profiles, business context, research, and copy drafts. We also don’t collect anything else you input directly into the AI Model while using Copytrained, whether or not it’s part of your Brain. This data lives on your own device and in your own account with the AI Model’s provider, not with us.

When you use Copytrained, this data goes directly from your device to your own AI Model account, not through us (see Section 8).

Because none of it reaches us, there’s nothing for us to lose, sell, or hand over. You also already have full data portability by default: none of it ever reached us in the first place.

5. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your Personal Data for the following purposes, based on the legal ground stated for each:

  • Account & Purchase Data, Posts & Comments, Recordings & Transcripts, and Business Data – to deliver Copytrained, process your Purchase, run the Copytrained Hub, and provide Coaching Sessions, necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • Recordings & Transcripts and Business Data – also to improve Copytrained, based on our legitimate interest, using anonymised, aggregated, non-identifying insights only. We don’t use this data to train AI models, and we don’t permit our Service Providers to.
  • Testimonials – an anonymised quote from your Coaching Sessions or Copytrained Hub posts may be used as a testimonial or in our marketing materials based on our legitimate interest in showing how Copytrained is used; you can object to this at any time (see Section 10). Anything that identifies you, for example your name or business name, is used for marketing only where you’ve separately consented. We may also use what you share with us internally, to inform our own product development, based on our legitimate interest, without separate consent.
  • Survey Responses – to understand who uses our products and to improve Copytrained and our support, based on our legitimate interest, or your consent where a survey is explicitly for research purposes. Answering a survey is always optional.
  • Account & Purchase Data from a Copytrained Coach purchase – we add your email address, name, and, if you buy as a business, your business name to our email platform, to send you Copytrained Coach, its setup instructions, and its updates, necessary to perform our contract with you. We also use your email address to send you emails about related Copytrained products, based on our legitimate interest and as allowed for existing customers (see Section 12).
  • Purchase Measurement Data – to report your purchase from our server to Google, if you accepted Statistics cookies, and to Meta, if you accepted Marketing cookies, so we can measure our ads. The legal ground is your consent. We apply the choice in your cookie settings at the moment you pay on our checkout page, so if you change your settings on that page, your last choice before paying applies. Where you buy through our payment link, we apply the choice you made when you clicked the buy button. If you hadn’t made a choice, or refused, nothing is sent. If we can’t link a purchase to your choice, nothing is sent either.
  • Website & Marketing Data – to run our website and, where you’ve opted in or as described in Section 12, send you product and marketing emails. Where you accept Statistics cookies, we use analytics data to understand how visitors use our website. Where you accept Marketing cookies, we use advertising data to measure our ad campaigns, to show our ads to people who visited our website (retargeting), and to find and show our ads to people similar to our visitors (lookalike audiences). The legal ground for both is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie settings.

Suggestions, ideas, and feature requests you post in the Copytrained Hub count as Feedback under our Terms and Conditions. We may use Feedback freely to improve Copytrained, without restriction or compensation, as described there.

We may also use any of the above to detect fraud, prevent misuse, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations (including VAT and tax obligations), based on our legitimate interest or a legal obligation, whichever applies.

6. Service Providers

Our Service Providers are:

  • Stripe – payment processing. Privacy Policy
  • Circle – hosts the Copytrained Hub, including Coaching Session recordings and transcripts. Privacy Policy
  • Kit – email marketing, including website sign-up forms. Privacy Policy
  • WP Engine – hosts our website (built on WordPress), including form submissions and server logs. Privacy Policy
  • Complianz (Complianz B.V.) – runs our cookie banner and checks this page against the cookies the site actually sets, using cookiedatabase.org. Doesn’t receive any visitor’s personal data. Privacy Policy
  • Google (Google Ireland Limited) – Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, if you accept Statistics cookies, including purchase reports from our server (see Section 5). Privacy Policy
  • Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited) – our business email, and our customer surveys (Google Forms). Privacy Policy
  • Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) – Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, if you accept Marketing cookies. Meta receives data about your visit, and about your purchase if you buy, for advertising. Privacy Policy
  • Anthropic (Claude) – transcribes and analyzes Coaching Session recordings to help us improve the product, separate from your own use of the AI Model described in Section 8. Privacy Policy

Each Service Provider processes your data under their own privacy policy and data protection terms. Meta also uses the data it receives through Meta Pixel for its own purposes.

When you buy Copytrained Coach, together with the 7-Figure Sales Page Playbook if you add it, it’s sold to you by Link, LLC (“Link”) as merchant of record, through Stripe Managed Payments. Link isn’t one of our Service Providers. It receives your name, email address, payment information, and billing address as the seller, and processes them under its own privacy policy. We receive your name and email address so we can deliver Copytrained Coach to you.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our Service Providers, and Link (see Section 6), are based in the United States, and Google and Meta may process data there too, so your data can leave the European Economic Area. We rely on adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism to protect it.

8. The AI Model

Copytrained’s System and Brain run on the AI Model. You need your own account and subscription with the AI Model’s provider to use Copytrained.

Data you input into the AI Model goes directly from your device to its provider, not through us (see Section 4). This includes your Brain data. It’s processed under that provider’s own privacy policy, not this one. We strongly encourage you to review it, particularly if you plan to work with sensitive information.

We have no control over how the AI Model’s provider retains, uses, or trains on the data you share with them.

9. Data Retention

We keep Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in Section 5, or as required by law:

  • Account & Purchase Data – kept for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law.
  • Posts & Comments, Recordings & Transcripts, and Business Data – kept for as long as we operate the Copytrained Hub.
  • Testimonials – attributed testimonials kept until you withdraw consent; anonymised quotes kept until you object (see Section 10).
  • Survey Responses – kept for as long as we’re using them to improve Copytrained.
  • Website & Marketing Data – kept for as long as we’re using it to run our website, and for marketing emails, until you unsubscribe. Cookies stay on your device for the periods shown in our Cookie Policy.
  • Purchase Measurement Data – what we save when you pay or, through our payment link, when you click the buy button, is deleted as soon as your purchase is processed, or after 7 days if no purchase follows. Our record of what we reported, which shows only part of your email address, is kept for 180 days.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymize it.

10. Your Rights

You have rights over your Personal Data. These vary depending on where you live, but we honor them everywhere, not just where the law requires it.

If you’re in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you can access, correct, delete, or restrict how we process your Personal Data, object to our processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. This includes objecting to our use of an anonymised quote from you as a testimonial or in marketing (see Sections 5 and 9), and withdrawing consent to any testimonial that identifies you. Your Brain data is already fully portable: it never reached us (see Section 4). You can also lodge a complaint with the Slovenian data protection authority or your own country’s supervisory authority.

If you’re a California resident, you can ask what we collect and request deletion. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you accept Marketing cookies, Meta receives data about your visit for advertising, which California law may treat as “sharing”. When we report a purchase to Meta, we ask Meta to apply its Limited Data Use setting where California law applies. You can turn this off at any time through the cookie settings. We don’t sell your personal information for money.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@copytrained.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Children’s Privacy

Copytrained is intended for business and professional use, not for children. We don’t knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we’ll delete it.

12. Marketing Emails

We send you marketing emails if you’ve opted in to them. If you buy from us through a checkout that tells you so, we may also email you about related Copytrained products, as allowed for existing customers. You can say no at any time.

Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly. If you’ve unsubscribed before, buying from us doesn’t subscribe you again.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails doesn’t unsubscribe you from transactional emails related to your Purchase.

13. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Necessary cookies make the website work. With your consent, we also use Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the website, and Marketing cookies (Meta Pixel) to measure our ads, to show them to people who visited the website, and to reach people similar to our visitors. Meta receives data about your visit for this purpose. If you buy after accepting these cookies, we also report your purchase to Google or Meta from our server, using the same cookie identifiers (see Section 5).

When you first visit the website, a cookie banner asks for your consent. We set no Statistics or Marketing cookie unless you accept, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings. You can also control cookies in your browser.

Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie we use. For how WP Engine processes data as our website platform, see its privacy policy (Section 6).

14. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data. We also rely on our Service Providers to maintain their own security standards.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your Personal Data, we’ll notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. A change is material if it affects how we collect, use, or share your Personal Data, or reduces your rights under this Policy.

We’ll notify you of a material change by email, to the address on your account, and, where you have access to it, by a prominent notice in the Copytrained Hub, not just by posting quietly on the website, before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree with a material change, your option is to stop using Copytrained. Where we rely on your consent for a specific use, you can also withdraw that consent at any time instead (see Section 10).

Non-material changes take effect as soon as we post them, and we’ll update the effective date above to match.
